Chairman, San Francisco Republican Party
John Dennis is the Chairman of the San Francisco Republican Party. He has served on the SF GOP since 2008.
John has represented the Republican Party on San Francisco ballots 4 times: in 2010, 2012 and 2014 he ran for Congress against Nancy Pelosi. John won more votes against Mrs. Pelosi than any other candidate to challenge her.
In 2018 John was a candidate for San Francisco County Supervisor in District 2. He has been a delegate to California Republican Party Conventions since 2009.
John has worked on campaigns for other candidates for municipal/county office, California state office, U.S Senate and U.S. President. He has also worked to defeat a number of local ballot measures.
John was elected Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus of California three times. He was recently elected Vice Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus (RLC) on its national board. He has served on the RLC national board since 2015.
John grew up in densely Democrat Jersey City, NJ. He graduated from Fordham University, where he was student body president, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was a founding employee and partner in Humanscale, a private company specializing in office seating and office ergonomics. He is the founder of Foundation Real Estate, a real estate investment firm.
John has lived in San Francisco since 1991. He, his wife Heather and their daughter Devan live in their dog Augie’s house in Pacific Heights.
